about alexa
founder, Halling Health Solutions
As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for thirteen years, Alexa has worked with individuals in eating disorder treatment centers, outpatient clinics, and inpatient hospital settings including the intensive care unit. Starting her career in eating disorder treatment led to a firm belief that the modern concept of health and nutrition is deeply rooted in diet culture, which negatively impacts the way we feel about food and our bodies. Everyone deserves a relationship with food that’s nourishing and non-punitive. But to create peace with our body, we first need to undo the harmful internal biases we hold so we can develop a nourishing relationship with food.
